It may be a long time to paint a door. If you lay it on a sawhorse you can do only once side at a time, and to paint a single door will take a day or two.

If you are changing the colors it may take 4 to 5 days. There is still a way how you can paint several doors for a day or two. This is a relatively easy task to do.

The first thing is to find a place where to work, like a garage or high-ceiling basement with a plastic covered floor to keep away the dust.

Gather all the tools that you are going to need. After that remove the hinge pins and remove the door. With the help of a screwdriver, take out all the hinges and the doorknobs.

Lay the door on a sawhorse and use wood filler to fill any gouges. Give it some time to dry and after that sand both sides of the door. Stand the door upright on the 2 x 4's that are lying on the floor.

After that stand the door upright to form a V shape. The 2 x 4's will raise the doors off the floor and then you can paint it to the edge. Nail down wooden strips and fasten the two doors together.

The wooden strips will stabilize the upright door so that you can work on them without worrying whether they may fall down.

If you have more doors to paint, you can make the V into W. Paint and cut around the door edges, side and doorknob openings and then starting from the top paint each door.

You can access both sides of the door you can paint them simultaneously without waiting for one side to dry before the other. The first coat has to dry and after a light sanding apply the second coat.

If you work with latex paint that dries in a few hours, then you can paint several doors for one day. Wait for the paint to dry and after that reattached the hinges and the knobs. At the end rehang the door.

When the hinges are removed from the door, you can clean them and lubricate them before getting them back. Some people prefer to wedge the door so that it does not swing. You have to carefully tape all the hinges and knobs.

The things that you are going to need are wood strips 18 to 24 long, 2 saw horses, a few 2 x 4's to lay on the floor, sandpaper (120/150 grit), screwdrivers to remove hinges hinge pins and doorknobs, paint brushes, paint roller and paint.
